Midthunder is part of the Fort Peck Assiniboine Tribe of Fort Peck. She was originally of the Navajo Nation of Shiprock in New Mexico. After spending most her childhood living in Santa Fe (where she went to the Academy for Technology and the Classics and where her mom worked at a casting company) after which she came home. Amber is of Native American ancestry on her father's side. Both members are of the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber's mother is an adoptive. Amber therefore has an unidentified mix of her ancestry. Prey includes a mostly Native American ensemble, with Dakota Beavers playing Naru's older brother, and Jhane myers acting as the producer. Jhane is Comanche and Blackfeet and has advised the show on a couple times. Coco is the cute animal actor who portrays Sarii is chosen because of her specific rare breed known as that of the American Dingo. Carolina Dog is a breed that has existed for centuries.
Another message is also present in this whole thing. Throughout the film TJ recounts his love for Amanda and how she's his everything (although certain of the narration could be actually about the daughter if we analyze it further). He confided in Amanda that he was in love, however Amanda refused because she was already in a relationship with Daniel. Following Amanda's demise, Emily revealed that she was Emily. They have been friends ever since. At the end of the show, they will be married. Amanda kisses Wilf during the very last second. The entire prize pool was won all by yourself
